X3D Specifications

A real icon in men’s underwear!

The  X3D Collection saw the light back in 2002. X3D stands for eXtra 3-dimensional, because the it was the first pouch that was not only roomy and prominently shaped by design but also elasticised, meaning that it could truly adapt to a man’s genital shape.

1. Design features

Normal underwear (A) vs Ergowear three-dimensional pouch (B)

All items of our X3D Collection are fitted with a three-dimensional pouch that is designed to accomodate your genitals away from your legs but still in a natural position: The testicles are pulled slightly up and to the front, still leaving enough room to place the penis pointing down. The illustration shows the typical position of male genitals in most underwear (A) and in Ergowear (B).

2. Materials

The X3D design is available in two types of microfiber: The original styles were launched in a polyamid-spandex microfiber that feels cool and soft on the skin. And now we also have X3D in the state-of-the-art SUAVE microfiber, made of polyester-spandex.  All X3D swimwear items are made in our polyamid-spandex fabric for swimsuits.

Fabric Name Content range Content range
Polyamid Microfiber 80-82% polyamid 18-20% elastane
Suave Microfiber 92-95% polyester 5-8% elastane
Swimwear fabric 80-82% polyamid 18-20% elastane

Note: Actual fiber content may vary between production lots; actual content is shown on sewn label of each item.
